JAIME ARAGONES

Spanish artist born in Alicante, in 1951. In his youth he studied painting and engraving at the Faculty of Fine Arts of San Carlos, in Valencia. During this stage he participated with the artistic group called “Gábia” in numerous art shows and exhibitions in cities such as Murcia, Valencia and Alicante.

His first works, in the 70s, are characterized by a critical realism that, over the years, has gradually given way to a more impressionist style, with an absolute predominance of color, as well as abstract themes.

Having finished his studies in Fine Arts, he begins a period of his life dedicated to teaching, as a painting teacher, which he combines with his artistic work.

At an international level, he has participated in important Art Exhibitions, such as the Ibero-American Biennial of Graphic Works (Mexico), at the International Center of Contemporary Art in Paris (1984), among others.

His masterful command of different painting techniques allows him to be a very versatile artist who expresses himself artistically through works of very varied themes and styles. His landscapes are vibrant, colorful and his paintings of figurative themes reflect the Mediterranean joie de vivre, with street parties and people having fun.

His works are found in galleries in Europe and America, as well as in private collections around the world. He is an artist to take into account due to his great technical quality and artistic projection.
